A sunset detail from Tucson, Arizona.  In flickr.com this photo has made it to #9 out of the top 500 for the day, what a surprise and evidently great karma!  See the stream at:

The World Through My Eyes?

Yep, it's that kind of day for me.  A bit surreal and lots of work, so I needed some fun relief to edit a photo taken at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.  This pair of glass eyes were on display in the special glass exhibit the end of May.  Seems like a long time ago I had my vacation.  When's the next?

The bougainvillea plant is in full glory in Arizona now, so this would make a fine Christmas greeting to all my friends!  Hope this message finds you well and happy.

The Urn Burns, All Souls Procession, Tucson

The finale of the spectacular events of the annual All Souls Procession in Tucson, Arizona - the urn contains messages of hope, prayer, wishes and thoughts sent in memory of friends and family now departed. The "Burning Man" - type ceremony finishes with the giant urn placed with a crane atop a tall pedestal tower and it is set afire.  This image and others looks far better when seen in a large view, here:

This celebration mixes all races, all ages, and all spirituality and a belief in Other Worlds.

American Children at Play

A mosaic set of the images caught in Friday in Surprise Arizona where children spontaneously came to the park and formed a quick game of football.  The mosaic was made with fd's flickr toys and each image is linked below.  It was really fun to see this happen with no adults supervising.  I was off about 150 feet away with my grand-daughters.  Seeing this just warmed my heart.

Eggs, Naturally

This is my Easter photo on my photo stream at flickr.com, so I'm a day late, but still a pretty image.  The breed of chickens that lay these colored eggs is called the Araucana.  There's more info here:

If you like these eggs and think they are pretty, wait till you see my grand-daughters and their mother in the zaadz photo album.  Dressed in Easter finest and smiles aplenty.

Hope some of my photos on zaadz make you smile.  It's one way I like to share some peace and joy to whoever may look on them and smile too.
